Even though this year was not the "year" I expected, there were still a lot of things that I am thankful for.
Here are the top highlights of the year 2011.
- Winning my first ever contest Super, super thank GoD! 'Twas my final year in college and I thought it would be nice naman if I join something or participate in something. Then came Student Nurses' Celebration week, perfect timing! In the end, I got the first prize! Didn't really expect to win cause the other contestants were really, really good! Some people were surprised to know that it was my first time to join a contest. (really, honestly, with all my heart and soul!) But all in all, I am very grateful and thankful to all who cheered for me and to all who believed in my talent. To my classmates na nag ubos ng boses just to cheer, thank you! And sa mga clinical instructors... salamat po mga sir! To some who invited me to sing for an intermission number for their seminar, nakaka flatter, thank you din! :)))
- Finally finished school without a failing grade! hehe! Thank God! College was not a piece of cake especially with the course I took up, BSN. Endless memorization of skills' procedures, drug studies, clinical duties and a lot more. Sabi nga nila, lahat naman ng kurso hindi madali. It's just a matter of conditioning your mind, doing your best and enjoying every second, every minute you're in it. One thing I will never regret when I was still in college was joining an organization. Just a tip: The easiest way to meet new people and make new friends is to join clubs and organizations. Interested in writing? Join your university's official paper.
Is acting your secret talent? Join your school's drama club! Or if performing is your passion, (singing or dancing) why not try joining your school's performing arts group just like what I did! :) It's just a matter of time management.
- Visited my grandparents in the province. After six long years, my family had week long relaxing vacation! Discovered an enchanting, undeveloped but super breathtaking beach! Definitely a vacay to remembaah! :)
-The Saddest Part That I Don't Want To Elaborate Anymore. It's just that sometimes, GoD doesn't give us everything all at the same time cause He's got his reasons. Reasons that we, in our human minds couldn't fathom. But that doesn't mean that everything is over for me. As what the saying says, It's not about how many times a person falls or fails that measures him/her (and who are we to measure someone? Ruler ka ba? hehe. kidding!) but it's about rising and being positive! It's not easy but knowing that my family is there, they never left me, they never made me feel that it was my fault or that I was not good enough. That, for me is enough to stand up again and try and do everything I can for them. They're my driving force. :)
- First time to work. :))) Just like all the fresh graduates out there, I was one of them who wanted to try for an easy money work. But I was very, very, very wrong. Applied for the biggest and the largest business process outsourcing company in the Philippines.... alam mo na kung ano yun! And luckily got hired! Infairness! :) The first month was okay-okay but come the second month was so stressful! Taking calls was so not easy with our account and all that.. hay! So much for an easy work! Out I go! Adios!
- Trip to the magnificent island of Boracay! (I posted it here as well) It was actually my second time to go there but this time, it was not planned at all. Long story, but all in all it was an unforgettable road trip! haha! Road trip from Ilo-ilo to Caticlan took us six hours all in all. The first time I went there I was with my mom and lil' brother but this time around, I was surrounded by teachers! (My mom's co-teacher) And it was sooo fun! They're so game and there was never a dull moment. :)

- Second work!!! Yehey! Yes, GoD is just so good! I coudn't ask for more. He didn't let me end this year without anything. When He pours His blessings, believe me, HE POURS IT!
Whatever you are going through right now, if ever you read this post, Imma tell ya that it's not always dark clouds and rains and storms... We all go through problems, heartaches and all the dramas but I know (and I know you know it too) that GoD is merciful and just. He is ever loving and faithful to His promises.
Happy Friday Everyone!
xx, Hana
