Birthday Special!

I love to sing. Singing will always be my number one. I sing for church, church concerts, special numbers, school chorale and weddings. Oh I love to sing for Weddings! It's a privilege to be able to share your talent in special occasions and make it more memorable by serenading them. I started singing for weddings when I was 13 and until now I'm still thrilled and excited whenever someone will request me to sing for their wedding or special events.

A classmate, Cha, approached me sometime in January if I could sing for her brother's upcoming wedding. She said she told her dad all about me winning the Nurses' week Singing Contest and she thought that it'll be nice if I could sing for her brother's event. I got super thrilled by what she told me and agreed to meet her family on a scheduled day.

Weeks came and I almost forgot about Cha's request. I got occupied with some of the cases we needed to complete, hospital duties and our dreaded Nursing Audit. It all came back to my senses when our group was reunited for our Ward duty. Cha was my groupmate, BTW. We talked about the wedding and she mentioned that it'll happen on the 5th of March and will be held at Fernbrook Gardens! The 5th of March also happens to be my birthday and I was beyond excited when I learned that because on that very same day, I will celebrate my 21st birthday! The day came when I got to meet Cha's adorable family! Her brother, sister, sister-in-law, brother-in-law and dad. Her mom was still at work that time so I didn't meet her and so was her other older brother. They're a funny bunch especially tito Werson, Cha's elder borther. They have Magic Sing (a home karaoke equipment) and a really nice sound system. I serenaded them by singing a couple of songs before we had dinner. I also met Erika, the bride-to-be and fiancĂ© of Cha's older brother. Erika requested some particular songs that she liked and included it in the repertoire.

This wedding celebration was the first of many firsts! First of all, it's my first time to sing for a Catholic wedding. Second of all, there's no pianist. I am used to sing with live accompaniment and this particular one is a first with no pianist. The wedding was just a few days away and I know if I asked for a pianist it'll be a hassle. So being a smart brat and all, I searched my repertoire in this popular site and searched for instrumental songs. And voila! It was just a CD burn away!

It was a special day not just because it's a wedding of two people who are in love but also because it was my 21st birthday. Nothing could be more special than that! The venue was held at Fernbrook Gardens at Portofino located at New Alabang. The place was so beautiful! I couldn't find any words to describe how enchanting that place was! and because of that.. let the pictures do the talking! 'Nuf said. Enjoy!

This one is the fountain located right in the middle of the place.

This one is a treat! My first time to actually see, touch and feel a 1926 Rolls Royce. Can you say vintage?

The church! Beautiful!

This one is extra special. I call this The Magic Karwhe. hihi

There are a lot more gorgeous photos from that day and I may say that it was really worth it to be part of Peter and Erika's Wedding. And as for my birthday, I was happy because I got to do what I really love to do and that is singing. Singing for a wedding on my birthday is so not everyday and I may say that I did a satisfying job!
